FACTS The State of Uttar Pradesh (Respondent) had acquired the land of the Appellants under the provisions of the Land Acquisition Act, 1894 and paid compensation for the same. The Ld. District Judge granted further compensation. Aggrieved by the same, the Respondent filed an appeal in the High Court of Allahabad (High Court). Subsequently, the appellants filed a cross objection in the High Court. The Hon’ble High Court confirmed the order of the Ld. District Judge. It was the contention of the Appellants before the Hon’ble Supreme Court that the Cross Objection filed by them (Appellants) was not considered by the Hon’ble High Court.
