Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) have long been considered the backbone of the global economy, driving innovation, creating jobs, and contributing significantly to economic growth. In India, SMEs are a critical segment of the business ecosystem, and over the past few years, many SMEs have turned to public markets to raise capital and expand their operations. The advent of the Small and Medium Enterprises (SME) Platform on stock exchanges, particularly the BSE SME Platform and the NSE SME Emerging Platform, has provided these companies with an opportunity to access a broader pool of investors, enhancing their growth prospects.
